Dewey Square Group Hires Acclaimed Strategist Lisa Mushaw
to Join State/Local and Multicultural Practice
WASHINGTON, DC – Lisa Mushaw, a long-time leader in coalition-building and third party outreach, has joined Dewey Square Group (DSG) as a principal in its State/Local and Multicultural Practice. Mushaw brings more than fifteen years of distinguished experience in relationship development, government contract execution, executive leadership, and event management.
Mushaw most recently served as managing partner of Millenium Tek, an 8(a) minority woman-owned company that she founded in 2001 to provide information technology and management services solutions to the Federal government. Under her leadership, Millenium Tek successfully secured contracts with the Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, and the General Services Administration. From 1998 to 2001 Mushaw was a staff member to the White House Liaison Office for the Department of Agriculture, where she coordinated intensely-competitive political appointments to advisory boards and commissions.
“Lisa brings a uniquely diverse portfolio of experience in relationship development, event management, and operational strategy to Dewey Square Group,” said DSG Chairman Chuck Campion. “We have already eagerly begun to deploy her talents to advance the agendas of our clients.”
“I am very excited to welcome Lisa to my team after working with her on a number of different projects over the last several years,” said Minyon Moore, head of DSG’s State/Local and Multicultural Practice. “Lisa enjoys an excellent profile amongst a wide variety of key Washington decision makers and thought leaders, and has already proven herself to be a vitally important member of our organization.”
From 1997 to 1999, Mushaw worked in the Office of International Advance and Scheduling for Vice President Al Gore, where she coordinated logistics for Vice President Gore’s international visits.
“It’s an honor to join Dewey Square and begin developing outreach campaigns and strategies for our government and private sector clients,” said Mushaw. “After working with many of the firm’s principals throughout my career, I am excited to help lead Dewey Square’s powerfully effective efforts to optimize its clients’ goals and priorities.
