Rob Sebastian

With over 18 years of experience in entertainment, digital media, and new technology markets, Rob Sebastian is the co-founder and principal of Dewey Digital, a division of the Dewey Square Group.   He played an integral part in the creation of today’s most recognizable and successful interactive entertainment products and programs.

Rob specializes in the strategy and implementation of building unique and powerful communications platforms for national and international campaigns.  He has worked for clients such as the Democratic National Committee, NEA, Microsoft, Sony Pictures, Participant Pictures, National Energy Council, Big 10 Networks/Newscorp, Vivendi S.A. and the Areva Energy and many others.

Until the acquisition of the Ghost House/Mandate by Lionsgate Entertainment, Rob was the CEO of Ghost House and Mandate Pictures Digital (film companies that finance, develop and distribute filmed entertainment, video games, mobile media, and online media).  The company produced hit films such as the Grudge, Stranger than Fiction, and the academy award winning film Juno.

Prior to his CEO role, Rob was the Managing Director of the Endeavor Agency (now William Morris Endeavor), representing Hollywood’s top actors, writers and directors, as well as large corporations in their digital businesses. Rob represented and has worked with clients such as Vin Diesel, John Woo, Jessica Alba, Omnimedia, Sam Raimi, AOL, China Netcom, Vodafone, American Express and many others.  During his tenure, he implemented two video game businesses, including Tigon Studios that produced the award-winning video game Chronicles of Riddick for X-Box, PC, and three mobile content companies. Rob also assisted in the creation of a media and technology investment fund, and helped launch a number of mobile and online initiatives.

Since the late 1980′s Rob worked as a media executive for The Walt Disney Company and Time-Warner. In the mid-1990′s to early 2001 he took on the operating role of leading the interactive entertainment division for Warner Bros. Studios and was responsible for a global P&L. Rob’s responsibilities also included investment due diligence of new technology, M&A, and asset liquidation.

Rob currently serves as a director on a number of corporate boards and is an active speaker on media entertainment and Intellectual Property related topics.
