A principal with the Dewey Square Group, Eric Schnure provides strategic and executive communications and messaging to a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, national associations and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Dewey Square, Schnure spent 10 years running his own firm specializing in speeches, opinion editorials, articles, scripts, web content and position papers. Among his many clients were a former President of the United States and other high-ranking elected officials, Fortune 100 CEOs, leading foundations and non-profit organizations, university presidents, trade associations, and prominent members of the entertainment industry.

Schnure is also an adjunct professor at American University's School of Communication where he teaches a popular course on speechwriting.

As Co-Founder of the Humor Cabinet, he has also written countless humor speeches for leading political figures prompting Roll Call, the newspaper of Capitol Hill, to describe Schnure as one of Washington's "most sought-after political humor writers." His political satire has appeared under his own name in Washington Monthly, Salon.com, the New York Times and other publications. Additionally, he has appeared as a commentator on CNN, CNBC and the Hearst Television affiliates.

Before starting his own business in 1999, Eric was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Prior to that, Schnure was a Senior Communications Advisor and the Chief Speechwriter to the NASA Administrator.

Schnure started speechwriting in 1993 for Vice President Gore. While at the White House, he wrote on a wide variety issues and advised the Vice President on daily message and strategy. He also traveled extensively with the Vice President throughout the United States, as well as on trips to the Middle East, China, and Europe.

Eric Schnure graduated from Hobart College and received a master's degree in International History from the London School of Economics. He lives outside of Washington, DC with his wife Nancy, a public school teacher, and their two sons.
