Erik Balsbaugh
Erik Balsbaugh is a Senior Associate of the Dewey Square Group. An experienced grassroots organizer and lobbyist with over 10 years of experience in New England, Balsbaugh has earned a reputation as a tireless advocate and coalition builder with many successes under his belt.
As Executive and Political Director of the League of Environmental Voters, Balsbaugh built winning statehouse and electoral strategies for the environmental community, amassing an 82% win percentage in elections and leading successful efforts to fight for environmental funding in the state budget. Through his work, he has built strong relationships with advocacy groups and elected officials across the Commonwealth.
In 2010, Balsbaugh managed Get Out the Vote operations for Western MA in the Democratic Party’s historic turnout effort. In 2008, he served as a regional field Director for Hillary Clinton’s Campaign in New England, and in the general election managed Senator John Kerry’s Western and Central MA field operations.
In 2004, Balsbaugh started an innovative internet radio company, Pyramid, which provided low cost, customized radio and in store advertising for retailers. He worked on business development and government relations for the company.
