
Erin Grizard is a principal in the Dewey Square Group’s California practice, serving energy clients and leading grassroots advocacy campaigns. Grizard’s background includes positions with state government, non-governmental organizations and policy institutions, and includes experience in shaping environmental policy and designing and managing national and state advocacy campaigns.
Grizard joined DSG in 2009 after serving as the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) Deputy Director of the Office of Governmental Affairs. During her tenure at the CPUC, she represented the Commission before the state Legislature on energy and climate legislation, and she also worked on issues related to federal energy legislation.
Prior to her work for the CPUC, Grizard was based in Washington, DC, working on energy and climate campaigns for the Pew Environment Group (Pew Charitable Trusts). While at Pew, Grizard led organizing efforts in several states, focusing on climate policy, clean air policy and energy policy.
Grizard earned her master’s degree in public policy at The George Washington University, focusing on environmental policy. While a graduate student, Grizard also worked at The Annenberg Public Policy Center, contributing to published reports on legislative issue advertising and the leadership of women in communication companies.
