
Ginny Terzano was named a principal of Dewey Square Group in late 2009 and leads the firm’s communications practice. Previously, Terzano served for 10 years as a Senior Director for Public Relations at Microsoft and was a member of the corporate communications senior leadership team, where she oversaw management of the U.S. Sub Public Relations team, including major market efforts in Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, Chicago, and Washington DC.
Prior to her work with Microsoft, Terzano served as the Acting Secretary for Public Affairs for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she was Secretary Andrew Cuomo’s top public relations staffer. From 1996 to 1998, Terzano was Press Secretary to Vice President Al Gore and from 1993 to 1996 she served as a Special Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Press Secretary. Before moving to the White House, she worked as Director of Public Affairs for the National Endowment for the Arts under Chair Jane Alexander.
Leading up to the 1992 Presidential election, Terzano served four years as Press Secretary to the Democratic National Committee under Chairman Ron Brown (1989-1992). Before joining the DNC, Terzano worked out of New York as a political researcher for CBS News where she was the top researcher for all news programs. Terzano got her early start in politics working on the successful congressional campaign for Bob Carr (D-MI), and she also worked for Senator Gary Hart (D-CO) both in the Senate and for his 1984 and 1988 presidential campaigns as assistant press secretary.
