Heidi Nel is an associate at the Dewey Square Group where she manages business development for the Dewey Digital Practice. In her role, Nel works with corporations, trade associations and major non-profits to help them reach their audience across the web and around the world. She creates strategies that help clients attain their goals by leveraging their efforts with the use of the right online tools and technology.

Prior to joining the Dewey Square Group in late 2009, Nel worked for Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:LGF) as a Marketing Manager for the Grindstone Entertainment label, where she was accountable for the marketing strategy and distribution for an annual slate of over 30 films. Before Lions Gate, Nel worked for Sam Raimi's (Spider Man, The Evil Dead) production company, Ghost House Pictures (Drag Me to Hell, 30 Days of Night, The Grudge franchise), where she focused on digital media and produced three original series for Comcast's Digital and TV Network under the Ghost House label.

Nel is a US citizen from South Africa, and is an alumna of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She is a member of Step Up Women's Network, a national network of women dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls. She also serves on the board of directors for CONTRA-TIEMPO, a Los Angeles based non-profit dance company dedicated to the performing arts and education. In her spare time she enjoys writing, and is a contributing writer for Singular Magazine.
