
Jason has more than a decade of experience in managing and executing some of the nation’s premier national public affairs efforts. By integrating his knowledge of both the private and public sectors, Jason has helped implement many successful public affairs strategies for DSG’s clients.
As a principal in DSG’s grassroots practice, Jason’s expertise lies in the building of coalitions and message development for political, corporate and non-profit issues on the national and state level.
Prior to joining DSG in 2001 Cohen worked at the direct mail firm of Crounse Malchow Inc, managing direct mail campaigns for congressional candidates in Indiana, California, Texas and Wisconsin. Cohen also served as an account manager with a leading public affairs internet startup company, Voter.com, and managed the customer service department for all of Voter.com's political clients.
In 2004, Cohen served as the Director of the Missouri Coordinated Campaign during the general election and as the Field Director for City of St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay's re-election campaign in 2005. In 2008, Cohen was the campaign manager for Proposition C, The Missouri Clean Energy Initiative, which passed with 66% statewide support.
