New Report: The Financial Aid Challenge in Community Colleges Press Conference

May 17, 2010

Community colleges are a critical part of our nation’s education system, serving nearly half of all undergraduates in the United States who are working to earn the degrees and training needed in today’s increasingly competitive job market.

Yet millions of dollars in financial aid are left on the table each year by eligible community college students who do not apply for need-based student aid.

The College Board Advocacy & Policy Center will hold a news conference on Wednesday, May 19, 9:00 am in Washington, D.C., at the National Press Club to release a new report on financial aid challenges.

Please join us as expert educators, policymakers and advocates highlight successful practices and the ways current and potential community college students can take greater advantage of existing financial aid.
