Obama Veteran Joins Dewey Square Group
Rodriguez Joins National Grassroots Practice and Expands California Operations
Matt Rodriguez, a former regional director for the Obama for America Campaign, has joined the national grassroots practice of The Dewey Square Group, one of the nation's leading public affairs firm. The former Western States Regional Director from the Obama presidential campaign, Rodriguez is based in DSG's Los Angeles office, where he joins the firm's growing California practice.
"Matt's talent, experience and innovative approach to campaigns make him a terrific fit with Dewey Square's industry position as a leader in cutting-edge grassroots and public affairs strategies," DSG Chairman Chuck Campion said. "His extensive campaign management experience and recent role in the ground-breaking Obama campaign will bring great value to our clients in California and across the country."
In addition to his most recent role on the Obama presidential campaign, Rodriguez has worked in politics for more than 11 years for a variety of Democratic candidates and causes. During the 2008 primaries, Matt worked as State Director for the Obama campaign in New Hampshire.

Rodriguez began his career in politics as a press aide to former House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt. He later served as Congressman Gephardt's Political Action Committee Director in 2002 and the Deputy Political Director on his 2004 presidential campaign. Rodriguez also worked for Senator Bill Bradley's presidential campaign in 2000, managed Senator Chris Dodd's reelection campaign in 2004, and successfully guided California Assemblyman Kevin de Leon's campaign in 2006.
