
With strategic expertise, experience in national, state and local electoral politics, and abilities honed by more than 25 years in government and public affairs, Paul Pezzella brings a full range of advocacy services to the Dewey Square Group.
Pezzella most recently was a Partner at ADS Ventures Inc. in Boston and prior to that represented a variety of clients on local and state legislative and regulatory matters through his own firm, Pezzella & Company.
Pezzella held senior staff positions with Governor Michael Dukakis as Deputy Legislative Director, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Personnel. He was on the national field campaign staffs of Governor Dukakis in Florida and Senator Bob Kerrey and was State Director in New Jersey for President Clinton’s successful re-election campaign in 1996. Pezzella also played key roles in Vice President Al Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000 and in Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign in South Florida in 2004.
A lifetime member of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee, he served on the Rules Committee at the 1992 Democratic Convention in New York and on the Credentials Committee at the 2008 convention in Denver.
Pezzella has also been a lecturer at the College of Public and Community Service at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. He holds a M.A. from Clark University and a B.S. from Suffolk University.
