Charles Campion

Charles Campion is a principal and founder of the Dewey Square Group. With nearly 30 years of experience in business, government and politics, Campion is one of the country's most respected corporate campaign strategists concentrating in the development and execution of public affairs strategies.

Before forming the Dewey Square Group, Campion founded and managed Campion and Associates, a firm that specialized in helping private corporations manage their sensitive public affairs issues.

Campion's government experience includes serving in the Carter White House as special assistant to Vice-President Walter Mondale. And as executive assistant to the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Campion planned and coordinated strategies for the mid-term congressional elections and the Democratic National Convention.

Campion began his career in 1977, working as a special assistant to Massachusetts Governor Michael S. Dukakis. He later served as the metropolitan Boston field director for the Dukakis 1978 gubernatorial campaign.

From 1982 through 1984, Campion held a number of key positions in Mondale's presidential campaign, serving as deputy to the campaign chairman, director of the New Hampshire and Ohio primary campaigns, deputy director of the New Jersey primary campaign and director of the Illinois general election campaign.
