Joe Ricca
Joe Ricca is a principal of the Dewey Square Group, concentrating in state and local government relations and the development and execution of grassroots strategies.
Ricca served on the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen from 1977 to 1987, serving three years as chairman. From 1977 to 1994, Ricca held a number of positions in the Massachusetts Secretary of State's office, including chief of staff from 1987 to 1994. In this position, Ricca was responsible for key policy development and the overall management of 20 divisions.
In 1988, Ricca took a six-month leave of absence from the Secretary of State's Office to join the Dukakis for President Committee. He established a statewide grassroots organization of more than 2,000 paid and volunteer staff for the Iowa precinct caucuses. Ricca also served as field director for the New York primary and was subsequently named regional field director for Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Prior to joining the Dewey Square Group in 1995, Ricca specialized in municipal government siting issues for private sector clients at his firm, Ricca & Associates.
