Lynda Tocci
Lynda Tocci is a principal of the Dewey Square Group, focused on state and local government relations and the development and execution of grassroots strategies. With more than 15 years experience in grassroots organizing, strategic planning and campaign management, Tocci has earned a reputation as highly-effective campaign organizer and manager with a winning record in the political, public and private sectors.
Tocci has developed and managed grassroots organizations for a variety of candidates, including Sen. Edward Kennedy, State Treasurer Shannon O'Brien, former NH Governor Jeanne Shaheen, Sen. John Kerry and Vice President Al Gore. She has also managed ballot initiatives in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Iowa, Oregon and Florida and nationally.
From 1998 to 2002, Tocci served as Deputy Treasurer and Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts State Treasurers office. In this role, she managed operations of the State Treasury with a budget of $6.7 million and a staff of 65. Tocci represented the Treasurer on the Board of Bank Incorporation reviewing mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations of banks and holding companies.
In 2004, Tocci managed the John Kerry for President Massachusetts office. The office served as a national voter contact operation and volunteer export center, resulting in more than 2.5 million voter identification and persuasion, door-to-door visits and telephone calls. Tocci also directed the successful get-out-the vote effort for New Hampshire - the only state won by Bush in 2000 but not '04 - for both the primary and general elections.
