Dave Barnhart
A veteran field operations manager with experience in presidential, gubernatorial and local campaigns, Dave Barnhart combines tested political strategies with seasoned grassroots management to deliver successful results for Dewey Square Group’s corporate and political clients.
Barnhart manages corporate legislative campaigns, utilizing DSG’s national network of public affairs operatives while creating a centralized campaign “war room” with writers, researchers and rapid response capabilities.
Barnhart recently managed a gubernatorial race in Nevada and was the field director for the winning campaign of Governor Tim Kaine in Virginia. Barnhart also helped engineer Senator John Kerry’s come-from-behind victory in the 2004 Iowa Caucuses. From there, he continued the general election cycle in senior roles in Missouri and Ohio.
In 2006, Barnhart led the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s historic Get-Out-The-Vote and field effort, leading to a Democratic takeover of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Barnhart has managed campaigns or field operations in Iowa, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, and Nevada.
