Anu Rangappa
Anu Rangappa is an associate in the Campaign Practice of the Dewey Square
Group, working on targeting campaigns for an array of political, corporate
and non-profit clients. Rangappa has significant communications and campaign
experience and has since assisted in the creation and implementation of strategic
plans for a number of political organizations.
During 2004 campaign, Rangappa worked with the senior strategy team for the
Kerry/Edwards presidential campaign. In 2002, she helped craft campaign
plans for gubernatorial candidates and other federal races for primary and
general elections. And in 2001, she worked with the Virginia and New Jersey
gubernatorial campaigns on voter turnout activities and Election Day operations. These
races saw remarkable shifts in Democratic participation due in part to the
tactics developed by the DSG team.
Prior to joining DSG, Rangappa was manager of special projects for the Gore/Lieberman
Presidential Campaign, working at the Iowa Caucuses, the Democratic National
Convention, the Presidential Debates, Election Night 2000 and the Florida Re-Count. Beginning
in 1996 and throughout the second Clinton Administration, she worked for the
White House Office of Scheduling and Advance, traveling extensively around
the U.S. and internationally. Preceding visits by President Clinton or
First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rangappa led the on-the-ground logistics
for the White House Press Corps. In 1995, she was a White House intern
in the West Wing office of Presidential Scheduling.
