Emma Christman is a Senior Associate in Dewey Square Group’s State and Local and Multicultural Strategies practice where she provides clients with guidance on executing public affairs programs, strategic partnerships and social media campaigns. She has extensive experience with coalition-building and stakeholder/third-party engagement strategies in a variety of policy areas including civil rights, education, the economy, health, and sports.
Prior to joining the State and Local and Multicultural Strategies practice, Emma was the Community Outreach Director for Mobile Future, where she handled strategic partnerships, digital media, diversity and tech outreach. During her time at Mobile Future she successfully led and expanded the Mobileys App Competition, which focused on awarding social entrepreneurs who created game changing innovations. In addition to her work with start-ups and entrepreneurs, Emma was deeply invested in efforts to close the digital divide and improve the diversity pipeline within the technology sector. She researched obstacles of entry in technology for minorities and consulted with various tech and communications companies to develop solutions to the barriers of entry.
Emma attended Howard University and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communications at University of Maryland University College.
