Tracey Lewis

Tracey Lewis is a principal in Dewey Square's grassroots practice.  Lewis brings over 15 years of grassroots organizing, issue advocacy, campaign and event management experience. Lewis has worked in the political, government, non-profit and private sectors.

Most recently Lewis served as the national field director for the Alliance for Climate Protection a public charity founded by former Vice President Al Gore.  Lewis built and managed a national grassroots organization spanning 28 states.

In 2010, Lewis managed the Connecticut Democratic Coordinated Campaign and successfully executed a get out the vote operation in one of the only states in the country to secure Democratic victories for all statewide and congressional seats including electing Senator Richard Blumenthal and Governor Dan Malloy.

In 2008, Lewis served as statewide field director in Hillary Clinton's historic comeback win in the New Hampshire primary. Lewis then served as a senior field advisor managing grassroots and get-out-the-vote efforts winning six other primary states for Clinton including Tennessee, Texas, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, West Virginia and South Dakota.  During the general election, Lewis was the general election director for President Obama's New Hampshire Campaign for Change.

From 2004 to 2007, Lewis served as the deputy executive director for John Kerry's leadership political action committee. In 2006 Lewis served as the first African American campaign manager for the Massachusetts Democratic Coordinated Campaign electing Governor Deval Patrick and re-electing Senator Edward Kennedy. 

Lewis has worked on several issue advocacy campaigns, local and statewide elections and three presidential campaigns. While in Florida for John Kerry's presidential campaign Lewis managed the statewide canvass program.  Lewis also served as Kerry's credentials director during the 2004 Democratic National Convention overseeing the daily distribution of tens of thousands of credentials.

From 1997 to 2001, Lewis served as a sales administration and marketing director in the New England region for AES NewEnergy a global energy services company.
