DSG Principal Tim Chambers just posted "Political Standard Time" on the Huffington Post, noting that throughout history, "our understanding of time has always been deeply connected to our technologies," from sundials to church bells to what he deems 'internet time', the driving force behind "Political Standard Time".  There are two main lessons to be taken from this new political time zone:

1. Politicos must watch the ongoing online conversations in realtime.
2. Political fortunes can fluctuate between the bad and good faster than ever before.
