Frederic J. Frommer, Former Associated Press Journalist, Joins Dewey Square Group
Experienced Sports Writer Joins DSG to Lead New Sports Business Practice
WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 1, 2015 – Frederic J. Frommer, a seasoned Associated Press journalist and sports author, has been tapped to lead the Dewey Square Group’s new Sports Business Practice. Frommer will provide communications strategy, strategic counsel and other services to a wide range of sports clients.
“Throughout his successful career, Fred has tackled issues at the intersection of sports and public policy,” said Dewey Square Group Chairman Chuck Campion. “With his extensive background in reporting on some of the toughest sports policy issues of our time, his pure passion for sports and his entrepreneurial flair, we are excited to see him quarterback our new Sports Business Practice.”
At the AP, Frommer created an innovative sports-politics beat, and covered some of the major sports stories in Washington, including the Roger Clemens perjury trial. He has also written for The New York Times, Washington Post and POLITICO Magazine, and has been interviewed by numerous media outlets including NPR, ABC News, NBC News, the Times and the Post.
Frommer has authored four books, including one on Washington baseball history, “You Gotta Have Heart,” of which George Will wrote, “Frederic Frommer tells this fascinating story splendidly.”
