Boston and Washington, D.C.

 

As COO of Dewey Square Group, John Giesser oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and provides strategic counsel to DSG clients. He divides his time between DSG’s Boston and Washington, D.C. offices.

Previously, John served as a CEO, COO and campaign director in the corporate, non-profit and political sectors. He has managed organizations with annual revenues of up to $300M. From 2007-2011, John was CEO of Spoken Hub, LLC, a premier grassroots technology firm he helped establish, diversify and grow. Prior to that, John was CEO of retail electricity aggregator NEChoice, LLC, an early success story in New England’s restructured electricity industry.

John served as the Democratic National Committee’s General Election Director and Deputy Director during the 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns, and as Executive Director of Keeping America’s Promise, Senator John Kerry’s PAC, directing over $13 million to campaigns and causes during the 2006 election cycle. John also served as COO of City Year, Inc.

John is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Boston College Law School, where he was Articles Editor for the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review. John resides in Massachusetts with his family.
