Katie Whelan has over 25 years of experience of working in the public policy field and is a veteran of Democratic presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional campaigns.
She is the former Executive Director of the Democratic Governors’ Association, where she provided strategic insight for elections and campaigns to governors and gubernatorial candidates in all 50 states. She also served as a Senior Advisor to California Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Katie has worked on issues including financial services, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, clean and renewable energy, higher-education, and healthcare at the national, state and local levels.
She was a fellow in residence at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, she Chairs the Advisory Board of the Pamela Harriman Foreign Service Fellowships at the College of William and Mary and serves on the Board of Advisors of the Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy at the University of Southern California.
