As a Senior Associate in Dewey Square Group’s California practice, Kimaya brings to the team an extensive background in policy research and a passion for legislative advocacy.
Prior to joining the DSG team, Kimaya worked at Perry Communications Group, where she conducted research for public affairs campaigns, assisted in legislative outreach, and provided writing and social media content support for clients in healthcare, technology, and biotechnology. She started her career in policy and advocacy working at a Los Angeles-based non-profit, where she advocated for HIV+ individuals, the unhoused population, and the LGBTQ+ community.
Kimaya graduated from Scripps College in with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Biology, and wrote an award-winning thesis on the psychosocial behaviors affecting HPV vaccination rates.
