As Principal of the Dewey Digital team, Mary oversees digital advocacy and advertising campaigns and strategies for our clients. She brings over a decade of experience to Dewey Square Group working with corporations and nonprofit organizations across all business sectors.
Prior to joining DSG, Mary headed her own consulting firm, Bethesda Media Group, working with clients such as 20th Century Fox, Sony PlayStation, and The Walt Disney Company, building and leading new digital platforms and game-changing marketing initiatives across multiple media platforms. Mary has also held executive positions including Chief Marketing Officer at Movielink, an early stage internet film and television service owned by the five major motion picture studios; Senior Vice President and General Manager at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she built and managed operations of the first digital television service; and as Vice President of Headspace, a Silicon Valley internet start-up she co-founded with musician Thomas Dolby. Mary also helmed Mary Coller Management, managing musicians and producers in all sectors of media. Her career started in Hollywood, California with Lawrence Welk at the Welk Music Group, and later as personal assistant to Michael Jackson.
Mary serves on the Board of Directors for Street Sense Media to end homelessness in Washington, D.C. and is Chair of the Development Task Force. She has been a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, Interactive Media Peer group and was the Chair of the Membership Development Committee. She has been recognized as a “Top Women to Watch” by Video Businesswoman Elite. Her Movielink commercial featuring Dennis Hopper was named by Ad Week as a “Top 10 Spot.”
